Damage crafted a multi-faceted, cross platform launch campaign for the highly anticipated Marvel Avengers video game in partnership with Marvel and Square Enix.
In order to entwine a pop culture behemoth such as the Avengers with an innovation powerhouse like Intel, we decided to assemble our own pop culture superhero. That led us to enlist world renowned muralist Tristan Eaton to create some truly extraordinary artwork for the packaging and launch of the game and partnered products.
But we weren’t done there.
We also commissioned Tristan to create signature art work inspired by each of the main Avengers. Then to bring it over the top, we brought in four of the best PC Modders in the world to craft one of a kind custom PC mods based upon that artwork. The entire project was dubbed “Avengers Reassembled,” spanned over a year and combined art, technology, practical engineering and some truly out of this world superpowers to create something very special.
From the online videos that documented the journey of the mods to retail, live streams and social platforms, the “Avengers Reassembled” campaign hit multiple touchpoints and avenues, and produced some amazing artwork both on and off the canvas.
